Opportunity to perform AtOx test at Top Class ESA facilities, at a reduced price.
Atomic Oxigen erossion effects are relevant for LEO and VLEO missions, but availability of testing facilities is limited and the cost of such test is tipically large due to the duration of test and the associated operational cost.
These effects can be tested at ESA atomic oxygen facilities, called LEOX, called LEOX, which produces a flux of atomic oxygen to evaluate erosion on materials. ESA Testing facilities open the opportunity for a Ride Share of AtOx test, organized by ESA Technology Broker in Spain, accepting applications from entities accross all ESA MSs.
This opportunity ensures testing materials at top class facilities, with high-skilled scientists providing analysis of the test results, at an affordable price (1/5-1/8 of the normal price, depending on the test type).
The required sample of your material is a 2x2 cm piece. You can test one sample per material, or up to three samples for increased reliability of the test.
Depending on whether you need to test your material for LEO or VLEO, just select 1 run of 10 working days exposure or 2 runs (10+10 working days exposure).
Experts from ESA Technology Broker will contact you for more information before confirmation of the order. A dedicated webinar for clarifications may be organized.
